General Information

  • chocoZAP is a low-cost micro-gym for beginners and people with tight schedules who want a convenient and easy workout on their own time!

  • chocoZAP is open 365 days a year and our door hours are  5AM to 9PM everyday. If you enter the facility before 9PM, you will be able to use the gym until 10PM.


    The lights will automatically turn off at 10PM everyday.

  • Our gym is located in West LA.

  • Yes, you can email us at info@chocozap.us or DM us on our Instagram account to schedule a time for a free tour with our staff.

     

    We also have a Pay-per-Entry ticket for $6.99 for you to try out our gym before commiting to a monthly membership.

  • Yes, chocoZAP is located in a strip mall where there is free parking.

  • We offer the following plans

    Pay Per Entry Ticket: $6.99/ticket
    The Pay Per Entry Ticket includes the use of massage chairs, EMS machine, and all other machines in the facility.
    *The massage chairs and EMS Machine require a booking. Bookings can be made easily on the GymMaster App.

    Monthly Membership: $21.99/month
    The Monthly Membership includes the use of massage chairs, EMS machine and all other machines in the facility as well as a FREE starter kit (smart watch+smart scale).
    *The massage chairs and EMS Machine require a booking. Bookings can be made easily on the GymMaster App.
    *The starter kit can be picked up inside the facility.

  • Individuals must be atleast 18 years old to be a member.

Facilities & Equipment

  • You will need to download the GymMaster App in order to enter the facility.

    After downloading the GymMaster App, log in to your account with the email address and password used when signing up.
    Once you arrive in front of the gym, open the GymMaster App, and click on Check-In to unlock the door.
    *Please make sure your location and bluetooth is turned on in your phone settings

  • Our gym offers massage chairs, a stretching area, and various cardio machines (treadmills, exercise bikes, desk bikes, ellipticals, rowing machines), as well as the following strength machines: lat pull down, chest press, shoulder press, abduction, adduction, arm curl, dip and an ab bench.

  • We offer lockers for item storage and we have a restroom for our members to change.

  • We do not provide towels inside our facility.

  • We do not have pools or saunas available in our facility.

  • We do not offer any personal or group classes. However we have instructions on how to use our machines for beginners and we also have videos of workout routines that can be accessed from the GymMaster App.

  • The sign up fee for Monthly Memberships is $35.99. This is a one time fee and we do not have any other additonal fees such as annual fees.


    *If you decide to cancel your monthly membership and rejoin, you will be charged for the sign up fee again. We recommend members to freeze their membership if they can not use the facility for a certain period of time.

  • Pay Per Entry Ticket: $6.99/ticket

  • Day Pass
    You will be charged $6.99 at the time of purchase.

    Monthly Membership
    You will be charged the sign up fee, the prorated fee for the first month and the full monthly fee for the following month when you sign up. After that, you will be charged on the 1st of every month for the monthly fee.

    For example if you sign up on Nov 15th 2024
    Charged on Nov 15th 2024: sign up fee + prorated monthly fee for Nov + full monthly fee for Dec
    Charged on Jan 1st 2025: full monthly fee for Jan
    Charged on Feb 1st 2025: full monthly fee for Feb

  • Payments can be made with Debit Cards and Credit Cards (AMEX, MasterCard, VISA, Discovery), as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

  • Yes, if you have a monthly membership with us, you can freeze you membership for up to 90 days (limited to twice a year).
    Please contact us at info@chocozap.us to request a membership freeze.

  • There is a one time sign up fee of $35.99 for our monthly memberships but that is all! We do not have any other additional fees, such as annual payments.

  • We have a Pay Per Entry Ticket for $6.99 which includes access to all our machines, including our massage chairs and even an EMS machine.

  • The Pay Per Entry Ticket expires 30 days after purchase.

  • Yes, you can easily get a referral discount by clicking on ""Refer a Friend"" in the GymMaster App and giving your friend/family your personal discount code.

    Make sure your friend/family enters your personal discount code when signing up.

    You and the person you referred will get a $24.00 discount every year. ($2.00 discount per month)

    *Referral policies and discount rates may change if you join during promotion periods

  • No, we do not have a minimum term for our monthly memberships. However the earliest membership cancellation date will be a month from your cancellation notice.


    For example, if you decide to cancel your membership on March 25th 2024, the earliest cancellation date you will be able to select will be April 25th 2024. In this case, you will be able to use the chocoZAP gym until April 24th 2024.

  • You can easily cancel your membership from the GymMaster App.


    To cancel your membership, click on the 3 lines on the top left corner, select "membership", then click on "cancel".


    Please keep in mind, the earliest cancellation date you are able to select is a month from your cancellation notice.

  • Our only policy for membership cancellation is a 1 month notice policy.


    This means, the earliest cancellation date you are able to select is a month from the day you decide to cancel your membership.

     

    For example, if you decide to cancel your membership on March 25th 2024, the earliest cancellation date will be April 25th 2024.

  • Unfortunately, your membership in Los Angeles does not work in chocoZAP Japan.

Policies

  • To provide a safe and comfortable environment for all members, please do not wear open-toed shoes, sandals or clothing with offensive messaging. Other than that, come as you are to enjoy and quick, and no-hassle workout!

  • Generally, we do not allow our members to bring guests. If there is someone you would like to show chocoZAP to, please contact the team at info@chocozap.us.

  • Due to safety reasons, children are not allowed in our facility.

  • Recording, taking photos and using the phone are allowed inside the facility but please be mindful and make sure to respect other members' privacy.

  • To protect the safety of all of our guests, outside training equipment is not allowed inside the gym.

Special Services

  • We have massage chairs and an EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) Machine available for all members. Please make sure to book the machine through the GymMaster App beforehand.

  • The starter kit is a free welcome gift for all monthly members. It includes a smart scale and a fit bit to kick start your wellness journey with chocoZAP.

  • Once you sign up for the Monthly Membership, you can pick up your starter kit inside the gym, near the EMS Machine. Please make sure to scan the QR code above the starter kit and answer the survey before you take one.

Health & Safety

  • We have staff cleaning the facility everyday from Mon-Fri. We take great pride in keeping our facility sparkling clean to provide a comfortable environment for all our members.

  • The facility is monitored 24/7 with AI assited cameras that notify the chocoZAP team if someone stops moving or needs help.
    Our members can also call local security services when there is an emergency.


    We have the numbers for the security services on the side of the locker, underneath the wi-fi information.
